CONCLUSION
100 caries free, extracted human premolars were classified into 6 groups according to
the treatments such as mechanical cleaning before etching, cleaning method, and etching
& non-etching. Dye-penetration on the borderline was observed after sealing and
polymerizing each group. Under the non-cleaning situation, etching or non-etching made
no significant difference to the dye-penetration. Under the non-etching situation, speed
of cleaning made no significant difference with standard and low speed.
The obtained results were as follows.
1. When comparing dye-penetration, there were significant differences between
non-cleaning group and low-speed cleaning group, low-speed cleaning and ething group
and low-speed cleaning and non-etching group(P<0.05).
2. There were significant differences between non-cleaning and non-etching group and
standard-speed cleaning and non-etching group, non-cleaning and etching group and
standard-speed cleaning and etching group(P<0.01).
3. Dye penetration of low-speed cleaning and etching group were less than
non-cleaning and etching group(P<0.01).
